St. Patrick’s Day Makeup Tutorial

March 8th, 2012

It’s almost St. Patrick’s Day and I can almost hear the bag-pipes playing. I wanted to produce a tutorial showing one how to use a vibrant pallette and translate it into a tasteful look. Here of course since this look is inspired by St. Patrick’s day, I am using a green pallette. Regardless, one can use this method with any choice of color. I’ve also chosen to use mostly affordable drug store products in this video. I hope you enjoy. Perhaps maybe you might even want to recreate this look for yourself and wear it as your little something green on St. Patrick’s Day. Cheers!

Chanel Perfection Lumière – Review

February 22nd, 2012

I finally had a chance to try out Chanel’s newest foundation, Perfection Lumière Long-Wear Flawless Fluid Makeup, and I have to say that I am impressed. The consistency is sheer to medium yet buildable if one needs more coverage.

It is a matte formula yet there are some luminosity components that appear to give the skin a radiant glow. The package insert says that it “flatters your face with a perfect balance of correction and light”. I completely agree. It really balances my skin tones and covers my imperfections seamlessly. I am very pleased with the results and that it doesn’t clog my pours. Once applied, the skin feels velvety soft. It isn’t greasy at all. In fact there is no need to set the foundation with powder. The formula can stand on its own. True to its promise as a long-wear makeup, it lasts all day long. I am able to wear it throughout the day (in warm weather) without a need for a touch up. I’m also happy to say that there is a little sunscreen within (titanium dioxide/SPF10).

Chanel’s Perfection Lumière comes in twenty colors differentiated into three categories: neutral; rose (pink); and ambre (warm). It is suitable for all skin types.

I am pleased with this product and will repurchase it. Product approved.
